These changes are particularly significant in areas such as data protection\, cybersecurity\, the digital economy\, and artificial intelligence\, and are largely inspired by and aligned with European frameworks. As a result\, ICT standards have become increasingly relevant both in Chile and across the region. \nWhile regulation is important\, it is equally necessary to create spaces for connection among various stakeholders\, including private and public entities\, academia\, and decision-makers. This is essential to ensure that the implementation of such regulations is harmonious. Thus\, it is crucial to support these kinds of regulatory and technological standardization dialogues. \nIn this context\, the Law\, Science and Technology Program at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile\, in collaboration and with the support of the EU initiative InDiCo-Global\, seeks to promote knowledge exchange between European experts and local actors. In this session\, members of the team will address: \n\nRecent technological regulations in Chile\, with a special focus on data protection and cybersecurity.\nHow voluntary standards and regulation interact in Chile\nThe importance of knowledge exchange and the need for cooperation through joint projects in the region.\n\nThis webinar aims to provide regulatory and standardization context that initially motived the cooperation between InDiCo Global and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
