GDPR and Anonymisation: From Legislation to Technical Solutions and Standards Definition

May 18 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Webinar invitation card

On the 10th anniversary of the adoption of the GDPR, this webinar explores if and how data anonymisation practices have evolved to comply with the legislation.

Drawing on speakers specialised in anonymisation techniques, the session will examine how the industry has evolved to respond to the requirements introduced by the GDPR. Has the Regulation introduced new technical requirements and an increased demand for anonymisation tools? Has this resulted in widespread industry adoption? And which have been the most challenging aspects of the implementation process?

The discussion will extend to examine how the technological evolutions prompted by the GDPR have fed into new or updated standards on data anonymisation and pseudonymisation.

Finally, the session will engage with participants to explore potential ways forward, and how the data anonymisation landscape may evolve in a changing sector — including in light of the widespread availability and rapid evolution of generative AI.
